Paul joined the company in 1997, having worked for Richard George (co-founder) for 8 years, he purchased the business in 2005 - obtaining the Oxford and Knowsley Road offices. Over recent years Paul has expanded the business by acquiring Neville Turner estate agents based in Pangbourne and has opened a new contemporary office in Tilehurst village. Paul is very proud to have grown the business along with putting together a fantastic team including an extensive lettings and management department. Paul owns an established Reading based removal firm - Ferriday and Alder and is delighted to be able to offer this additional service to all past and present clients, which include, local/long distance moving, storage and even worldwide shipping. Having lived in Tilehurst and Purley all of his life, Paul has a vast amount of local knowledge and expertise in the local property market having been involved in thousands of successful property transactions within the company and is very hands on with the day to day running of the business.
Charlie Hayes
Charlie, devoted father of two has lived and worked in West Reading and Tilehurst all of his life. Charlie has a vast amount of experience having worked in Estate Agency since 2005 when he joined our West Reading office, he has worked across all of our branches in different market places. He has been an influential part of our business and thrives on building great relationships with all new and existing clients. Charlie heads up our sales and lettings team and has bags of energy and enthusiasm. When Charlie isn’t in the office he loves to spend time with his wife Hayley and two daughters Olivia & Lucy. His other passions include playing Golf and camping lakeside Carp fishing.
Anthony Wood
Having joined the Company in 2002, Anthony is one of Sansome & George’s longest serving members of staff. With over 20 years’ personal experience in Estate Agency in Reading and surrounding areas, Anthony is a knowledgeable member of staff who has worked his way up to Sales Director alongside managing the team at our central Tilehurst Branch. Having worked through a wealth of changeable market conditions, Anthony has invaluable expertise and gained a well-respected reputation having gone above and beyond in helping sellers and buyers. With 1000’s of successful listings and sales during his career, his understanding and knowledge prove invaluable not only when valuing property and negotiating sales, but in anticipating any potential challenges during marketing and into the conveyancing process once a sale has been agreed. Having previously encountered most situations before, Anthony can call on these encounters and scenarios to effectively and efficiently deal with any issues or concerns should they arise. He lives with his wife in Caversham Heights with their two sons.
Lewis Kapp
NAEA
Lewis joined the team in 2017 and is based in our West Tilehurst & Purley office negotiating sales having picked up a wealth of knowledge in our Reading and Tilehurst offices (Sansome & George). Lewis is very personable and is thorough in all he does and is keen to assist, not being phased by anything.
He has recently developed his career further by obtaining his NAEA qualification and is progressing well within the organisation. He has lived in the Purley and Tilehurst area to date and having attended local schools, is very familiar with the local area. Lewis is a keen football player and enjoys playing weekly.
Ben Tait
Ben joined Sansome & George in early 2020 to work alongside Anthony and Lewis within our Tilehurst sales department and develop his career in estate agency. Ben has shown to have an enthusiastic, positive and likable approach that makes him a great addition to the team. Having spent some time living in Portsmouth and working within boat charters and restoration, during which he obtained a Fire Service BA Certificate, he has now moved back Reading where he was raised and attended Crosfields School and later Shiplake College. Ben is a keen supporter of Reading FC and when not working attends as many games as he can both home and away.
Courtney Clarke
Courtney joined us initially on a part time basis where she quickly developed an interest in property so when finishing her 6th form education locally at Prospect School has joined us on a full time apprenticeship and hasn’t looked back since!! Having always lived in Tilehurst, Courtney knows the area very well and has found having good local knowledge really helpful. Since progressing into her role, Courtney enjoys getting a good understanding of prospective purchasers requirements and enjoys the challenge of matching them to any available properties we have and also staying in contact during their searching journey. With her organised and practical approach, Courtney has great ambition to develop a successful career as an Estate Agent and with the help of her apprenticeship scheme is progressing really well. In her spare time, Courtney enjoys time with family and friends as well as listening to music and going to live events whenever possible. In the short term, Courtney is hoping to pass her driving test as soon as possible.
Barbara Townsin-Legg
Barbara is an invaluable member of the Sansome & George team whose background from her corporate and financial experience whilst working in the Middle East in recent years, has been an added bonus to her role within the company. She also brings a wealth of experience with her knowledge of interior design, incorporating furnishings and her negotiating skills have played an invaluable part within her sales remit. She will go above and beyond to assist in the progression of seeing sales through to completion.
Roz King
MARLA
Roz is a tenacious and knowledgeable letting agent with over 20 years’ experience and benefiting from being a qualified member of ARLA. Born and raised in the Reading area and a proud mother of two, Roz works across all aspects of the lettings environment from understanding the importance of maintaining industry standards to finding the perfect match for Landlords, Tenants and properties. By leaving ‘no stone unturned’ Roz will endeavour to ensure your property journey is a success. When Roz isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with her loved ones and staying active, keeping fit and completing such challenges like ‘Tough Mudder’. Roz is a fantastic addition to our company and has already become a great and valued team player.
Becky Weller
Becky has proved to be a great addition to the team, her tenacious, charismatic and attentive character is infectious and also means she and has taken to the role of an estate agent like a ‘duck to water’. Having spent the 18 years working in the community of Tilehurst and managing a local pre-school, Becky has been a tenant and recently purchased her own home giving her valuable first-hand experience of both sales & lettings environments from a consumers perspective which gives her a fantastic focus on customer service. Based in our Central Tilehurst branch, Becky has already negotiated numerous sales for our delighted clients. When she has any spare time, Becky likes to spend time with her family and dog as well as going to the gym, watching motorsport and on occasion enjoys a fishing trip with her husband.
Jane Hayes
Jane joined the team in May 2024 and quickly realised that she really enjoyed all aspects of working in an Estate Agents. Jane had a 25-year career with Reading Borough Council in the leisure industry, starting as a receptionist and by promotion over the years spent the last 10 years of her career as Assistant Manager for both Central Pool & Meadway Sports Centre. Proving both her loyalty and dedication for her career. Jane spent her childhood in Tilehurst and moved back to her “home” area over 20 years ago allowing her to spend time with her 4 children and 5 grandchildren. Devotion to her family is evident. Meeting new people and being set new challenges brings much enjoyment which is a good match for the world of buying/selling houses. Jane loves to upcycle household items and enjoys travel.
Beth Webb
Beth was worked in the lettings industry since 2016 and takes pride in her customer service skills and attention to details. Having been a landlord and tenant herself this has allowed a perspective from both sides of the service provided. Beth is a mother of two girls and enjoys spending time outside of work creating adventures and exploring the outdoors.
