Paul Bampton
Paul joined the company in 1997 after working with Richard George (co-founder) for eight years. In 2005, he took ownership of the business and has since played a key role in its growth, building a fantastic team and expanding into an extensive lettings and management department. A lifelong resident of Tilehurst and Purley, Paul has an in-depth knowledge of the local property market, having overseen thousands of successful transactions. He remains actively involved in the day-to-day running of the business, ensuring the highest levels of service. Paul also owns Ferriday & Alder, a well-established Reading-based removal firm, offering local and long-distance moves, storage solutions, and worldwide shipping. He is proud to provide this additional service to past and present clients, helping to make their move as seamless as possible.

Charlie Hayes
A devoted father of two, Charlie has lived and worked in West Reading and Tilehurst all his life. He began his estate agency career in 2005 at our West Reading office and has since gained extensive experience working across all our branches in different marketplaces. Charlie has been an integral part of the business for many years, and in 2022, he took the next step by buying into the company. As Director, he leads our sales and lettings team with enthusiasm and a strong commitment to building lasting relationships with clients. Outside of work, Charlie loves spending time with his wife and their two daughters. He’s also a keen golfer and enjoys lakeside carp fishing and camping.

Anthony Wood
Anthony joined Sansome & George in 2002 and is one of our longest-serving team members. With over 20 years of experience in estate agency across Reading and the surrounding areas, he has built a strong reputation for his expertise and dedication. Having worked through varying market conditions, Anthony brings invaluable knowledge to his role as Sales Director, leading the team at our Central Tilehurst office. His vast experience has helped thousands of sellers and buyers, ensuring smooth transactions by anticipating challenges and navigating the conveyancing process with skill. Living in Caversham Heights with his wife and two sons, Anthony is committed to delivering exceptional service and results.

Lewis Kapp
NAEA
Lewis joined Sansome & George in 2017 where he negotiates sales with skill and dedication. Lewis has built a strong understanding of the local market. Personable and detail-oriented, Lewis approaches every task with enthusiasm and professionalism. He recently furthered his career by obtaining his NAEA qualification and continues to progress within the company. Having lived in Purley and Tilehurst all his life and attended local schools, Lewis knows the area inside out. Outside of work, he is a keen footballer and enjoys playing weekly

Courtney Clarke
Courtney first joined us part-time before pursuing a full-time apprenticeship after finishing sixth form at Prospect School. Courtney is now a full time sales negotiator and has quickly developed a passion for property and hasn’t looked back since. A lifelong Tilehurst resident, Courtney’s local knowledge is a great asset. She enjoys understanding buyers’ needs, matching them to suitable properties, and guiding them through their search. Highly organised and ambitious, she is progressing well in her estate agency career through her apprenticeship. Outside of work, Courtney loves spending time with family and friends, listening to music, and attending live events. She’s also eager to pass her driving test soon!

Barbara Townsin-Legg
Barbara joined Sansome & George in 2015 and is an invaluable member of the team. With a background in corporate and financial sectors, including experience working in the Middle East, she brings a unique skill set to her role. Her expertise in interior design and furnishings, combined with strong negotiation skills, has been a great asset in supporting clients through the sales process. Barbara is dedicated to ensuring every transaction progresses smoothly, always going above and beyond to achieve the best outcome. She takes great pride in helping others and loves to please, making the journey to completion as seamless as possible.

Roz King
MARLA
Roz is a tenacious and knowledgeable letting agent with over 20 years’ experience and benefiting from being a qualified member of ARLA. Born and raised in the Reading area and a proud mother of two, Roz works across all aspects of the lettings environment from understanding the importance of maintaining industry standards to finding the perfect match for Landlords, Tenants and properties. By leaving ‘no stone unturned’ Roz will endeavour to ensure your property journey is a success. When Roz isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with her loved ones and staying active, keeping fit and completing such challenges like ‘Tough Mudder’. Roz is a fantastic addition to our company and has already become a great and valued team player.

Becky Weller
Becky joined us in early 2022 and has been a fantastic addition to the team. Her tenacious, charismatic, and attentive nature makes her a natural estate agent. Having spent 18 years working in the Tilehurst community managing a local pre-school, Becky understands the importance of great service. As both a former tenant and recent homeowner, she brings valuable first-hand experience of the sales and lettings process from a client’s perspective. Based in our Central Tilehurst branch, she has already successfully negotiated numerous sales and lets. In her spare time, Becky enjoys family time, walks with her dog, going to the gym, watching motorsport, and the occasional fishing trip with her husband.

Jane Hayes
Jane joined the team in May 2024 and quickly discovered her passion for estate agency. With a 25-year career at Reading Borough Council, she worked her way up from receptionist to Assistant Manager of Central Pool & Meadway Sports Centre, showcasing her dedication and loyalty. A lifelong Tilehurst resident, Jane moved back over 20 years ago to be close to her four children and five grandchildren. She loves meeting new people and embracing challenges—perfect for the fast-paced world of property. In her spare time, Jane enjoys upcycling, traveling, and watching Location, Location, Location—dreaming of being Kirstie Allsopp!

Beth Webb
Beth has worked in the lettings industry since 2016 and takes great pride in her exceptional customer service skills and attention to detail. Her experience as both a landlord and tenant has given her a unique perspective on the lettings process, allowing her to fully understand the needs of both parties and provide tailored service. A mother of two girls, Beth enjoys spending her free time creating adventures and exploring the outdoors with her family. Her commitment to delivering outstanding service makes her an invaluable part of the team.
