COVID 19 UPDATE FROM SANSOME & GEORGE
The situation in the UK is developing all the time and Sansome & George are committed to working hard to assess and reduce the risk of infection to our staff, contractors and tenants and also reduce the impact to our services.
We are currently open and operating as usual.
WHAT WE ARE DOING
· We are committed to keeping abreast of developments and will follow Government guidance.
· We are regularly briefing our staff and reminding them of best practice with regard to personal hygiene and safer practices.
· Our Staff and contractors have been asked not to shake hands with clients and to ensure they wash their hands correctly before and after each job
· Our Staff and contractors have been asked to keep at least 2m away from clients
· Our contractors carry sanitiser/antibacterial wipes and will use them where necessary
· Our contractors where possible will use disposable gloves
· Our contractors may ask tenants to reschedule their appointment if they have reasonable cause to believe a person in the property is unwell
· We can confirm that none of our staff have travelled to any of the identified high-risk areas. We can confirm that as of today none of our staff have knowingly been in contact with an infected person
· Staff have been told to self-isolate if advised to do so and follow the advice of the Government, NHS 111 and their GP
HOW CAN YOU HELP
· Tenants will be asked by our staff when reporting maintenance if anyone in the household has any symptoms of the coronavirus or if they have knowingly been in contact with anyone with symptoms of the virus.
· If tenants are in isolation we cannot (including contractors) attend the property until the isolation period has ended and tenants are well again.
· Can all tenants ensure they do not shake hands with our staff/contractors and keep at least 1m away from them.
· If contractors are visiting the property can tenants please allow them access to warm running water and soap so that they can wash their hands
· Can all tenants kindly follow the government advice on handwashing and catching coughs and sneezes (catch it, bin it, kill it)
· If you become unwell after maintenance has been reported/inspections booked please call our office to reschedule the appointment to at least two weeks later.
We thank you for your support and hope you remain well and safe during this time.
Regards and best wishes.
